How does the real estate update for sims 3 work?

I just updated my sims 3 and I noticed there’s an option when you use the phone or computer to check real estate. I bought thatdiner for 24,000 but it says there’s no collectible profits so how do you make money exactly??

I dont know i was wondering the same thing :/
i want to try and buy a holiday home but when i click on that area all it says is the properties in tn the town it doesnt show houses ?
and to make money on buisnesses you have to go to map view and becombe a partner

You can only collect profits after 9am on a Monday. So if you’ve bought it on a Wednesday, you have to wait before you can go to the store/resteraunt and collect the money. (You can become a “partner” at some places for less than the full buy price, but you get less profits.)
